King Charles state visit to the U.S has been portrayed as a huge success. However, both during and after the stay, one detail in particular has been controversial. Now, there’s been more fuel added to the fire as Sir Rod Stewart made a bombshell remark about Trump while speaking to King Charles.
King Charles and Queen Camilla spent four days in the U.S in early May. They began their state visit with two days in Washington, D.C., during which they spent much time with President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump.
Charles, who, in his role as monarch, must not take sides in politics, delivered a praised address to Congress as part of his visit. However, twice Donald Trump appeared to drag King Charles into politics, prompting Buckingham Palace to issue a statement.
On Tuesday, Donald and Melania Trump hosted King Charles and Queen Camilla for a State Dinner. However, it didn’t take long before he made a shocking claim about King Charles and the conflict with Iran.
Charles had not mentioned Iran specifically earlier on during the trip, nor in his speech to Congress. The only thing he mentioned was the “conflict in the Middle East.”
However, Donald Trump claimed Charles supported him over the Iran war, saying, “We’re doing a little Middle East work right now… and we’re doing very well.
Donald Trump claimed King Charles “agrees” with him over ‘Iran’s nuclear weapons’
