Former AG Pam Bondi diagnosed with cancer weeks after being fired by Trump: report

Former AG Pam Bondi diagnosed with cancer

Following the news of her cancer diagnosis, Bondi has received messages of support on social media.

“Pam has been quietly kicking cancer’s ass the last few weeks,” Former White House official and podcast host Katie Miller wrote on X, adding that Bondi “has a heart of gold.”

Thyroid cancer is often considered highly treatable, with most cases responding well to surgery and follow-up care. According to the Cleveland Clinic, the five-year survival rate is over 98%, and the prognosis is generally described as “excellent.”

Another person who has battled thyroid cancer is Donald Trump’s son-in-law and Ivanka Trump’s husband, Jared Kushner. He had the diagnosis during Trump’s first presidential term, when he served as an advisor, he revealed in his memoir.

Kushner had surgery to remove a tumor from his throat. In 2022, after his White House tenure, Kushner underwent a second thyroid surgery.

Broke her silence after being fired as U.S Attorney General

Shortly after Pam Bondi was fired, she broke her silence, thanking Donald Trump for the opportunity to serve as Attorney General. Moreover, she claimed that Trump’s first year of his second presidential term was “the most consequential first year of the Department of Justice in American history.”

“Over the next month, I will be working tirelessly to transition the office of Attorney General to the amazing Todd Blanche before moving to an important private sector role I am thrilled about, and where I will continue fighting for President Trump and this Administration,” Pam Bondi wrote on X at the time.

“Leading President Trump’s historic and highly successful efforts to make America safer and more secure has been the honor of a lifetime, and easily the most consequential first year of the Department of Justice in American history. Since February 2025, we have secured the lowest murder rate in 125 years, secured first-ever terrorism convictions against members of Antifa, shattered domestic and transnational gangs across the country, taken custody of more than 90 key cartel figures, and won 24 favorable rulings at the Supreme Court.”

Bondi concluded, “I remain eternally grateful for the trust that President Trump placed in me to Make America Safe Again.”

We wish Pam Bondi all the best in her recovery.
