In an interview with David Barbet on the podcast Censuré , Georges-Alain Jones revealed that he had recently heard from the man he calls his “biological father .” Jones contacted him on Instagram after fifty years of silence.

He is one of the most iconic contestants of Star Academy . Georges-Alain Jones first came to public attention in 2002 by participating in the second season of the talent show – which launched Nolwenn Leroy’s career . His strong character and unconventional personality quickly made him a key figure in the academy . Despite questionable singing abilities, he delivered some of the most memorable performances of the season, notably with the Spanish group Las Ketchup on the hit song ” Aserejé .”

A performance that has become iconic. “I know it’s used as a meme for all sorts of things. It made me trip. I feel like I’m going to die with Las Ketchup. What’s crazy is that it stands the test of time ,” the former academician rejoiced during an interview with YouTuber Jeff Lang2Vip.
