According to The Guardian, Ahmed al Ahmed was accused of allegedly putting his father in a headlock at a house in Bankstown, in the western parts of Sydney.
He was charged on Wednesday with common assault and “stalk or intimidate”, NSW police confirmed.
“Officers from Bankstown Police Area Command commenced an investigation,” police said in a statement. “On Wednesday (June 3), a 44-year-old man was served with a Court Attendance Notice for common assault (DV) and stalk/intimidate intend fear physical etc harm (domestic).”
Police also took out an Apprehended Violence Order (AVO) against him in order to protect his father. Al Ahmed is set to appear in Bankstown Local Court on July 29.

Speaking with ABC, he described the allegations as “fake information” and said he is unaware of the alleged incident.
“It’s fake information … it’s not true at all,” he told ABC, per the Daily Telegraph. “I don’t have any information at all”.
