The Civic Garden Club officially hosted its 84th annual flower show in partnership with the City of Thomasville, proving once again to be a thriving staple of local culture. This year’s professional judging panel—which included American Rose Society Deep South District Director Karen Prevatt and Master Flower Show Judge Marge Willis—had their work cut out for them, but one local standout completely stole the spotlight.

Ruth Barnett (Peters), a member of the Class of 1964, emerged as the undisputed star of the event, taking home the coveted “Queen of the Show” title along with a massive collection of top tier awards.
