A Legacy of Community and Growth
The event was a massive celebration of community pride. Mayor Scott Chastain took to the stage to congratulate the Civic Garden Club on its 84th year, expressing immense gratitude for the hard work put into the presentation. “As a Council, it’s an honor to serve in a community that cares,” Mayor Chastain stated. “And it is obvious when we go to these events that we have a community that cares, and this group stands above the rest.”
While Ruth Barnett took home the major sweep, several other local green thumbs were recognized for their outstanding contributions:
-
Emorial Mitchell secured the award for Best Portable Garden.
