Rudy Giuliani Receiving Treatment as Spokesman Shares Health Update

The update came just days after Giuliani reportedly appeared on his talk show sounding hoarse, telling viewers his voice was “a little under the weather.” It was just two words — but they instantly raised eyebrows. When Goodman described him as critical but stable, it sounded serious — but not necessarily dire.

The update confirmed hospitalization, yes. But it also suggested that, at least for the moment, things weren’t getting worse. And yet… that phrasing didn’t settle the conversation. If anything, it sparked it.

Trump’s Update Changes the Tone

Then came another update — this time, with a noticeably sharper edge. On May 4, 2026, the president weighed in publicly on Truth Social. And his wording stood out immediately. He praised Giuliani as “the Best Mayor in the History of New York City, BY FAR” and confirmed that he is “in critical condition.”

“Our fabulous Rudy Giuliani, a True Warrior, and the Best Mayor in the History of New York City, BY FAR, has been hospitalized, and is in critical condition.”
